Welcome to GoldenRed Photography.

Hello and welcome to GoldenRed Photography and thank you for taking the time to look at my website.

My name is Sarah-Jane and my love of flowers and nature began at a young age as my family were keen gardeners and I liked to help them all. My relationship with flowers carried on and I became a florist, I worked for Longmans Florist in London for a couple of years, had 2 sons then opened my own flower shop in South London once my eldest son started school.

Life has taken me in so many directions and now I have a disability which meant a career change. Still staying with my love of flowers I started photographing them but I wanted the extraordinary delicate details of a flower's architecture to stand out, as well as using a soft focus, sometimes adding a soft romantic vibe to the shot. I  also wanted to look at a flower as a bee would, but in techno colour not ultra-violet as a bee would of course. I self taught myself how to use a DSLR, then took an evening course in 'Fine Art Photography' in 2009. I passed with an 'A' (in our fickle world people tend to only trust people with qualifications because they know what they are doing!). My tutor said to me '' Sarah you can take all the exams in the world, they won't make you a better photographer, you know what you are doing, you love what you do, so use your passion and get your images out there''. I love my Canon 50D and I know it inside and out, an extension of myself.

I have been working at being a Freelance photographer since 2010, taking images of people and wildlife so I hope you enjoy my results.

I have many creative talents, ranging from drawing, painting and making bespoke  jewellery from genuine gem stones and Sterling silver wire. Encouraged by family and friends to look forward and embrace my talents, they have helped me find my passion and my love of photography and  jewellery designing.

'When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it's your world for the moment. I want to give that world to someone else. Most people in the city rush around so, they have no time to look at a flower. I want them to see it whether they want to or not'
